Newcastle disease destroys 40 to 80 percent of free-range flocks in our region every year. It is the single biggest reason farmers cannot grow.

That is why community vaccination is not an optional extra of joining Miah Farms — it is built in. Two of our youth members are now certified community vaccinators, using thermotolerant I-2 vaccine that does not require an unbroken cold chain.
